Support Your Community. Strengthen Your Staff.
Through engaging presentations & practical hospice training.
Community Presentations & Webinars
Educate. Support. Build Trust.
Community presentations and webinars allow your hospice to provide meaningful grief education and support long before families require care. When people learn from you in a non-crisis setting, your organization becomes a trusted, familiar resource — not a stranger during an emergency.

• Throwing Out the Rules: Why Most Grief Advice is Wrong
• Grief During the Holidays: How to Heal, Remember, & Rebuild
• Small Acts, Deep Meaning: Using Personal Grief Rituals
• Unusual Encounters: The Varieties of Unexplained Grief Experiences

A Speaker Who Understands Your Needs
I am an experienced, professional speaker who understands that the community doesn’t want abstract theories or graphs of meta-analyses. They want practical information and a sense of hope and connection.
I am a grief educator, researcher, and former college professor who specializes in personal rituals, widowhood, men’s grief, and unexplained grief experiences. I was previously a therapist and psychology professor, but now focus on helping organizations connect with the bereaved. Much of my research culminated in my book: Counseling Widowers (Routledge Press).
I have spoken to over 100+ organizations & audiences of 1000+ and am frequently asked back to speak again. Want to chat with me about speaking in your community? Just Contact Me.
